Labeller writes to RFID transponderApril 1st 2004
Supplier of industrial print & apply labelling solutions, Logopak International, has recently developed what is believed to be the industrys first automatic print & apply labeller capable of writing simultaneously to an RFID transponder integrated into a label. As a result, traded units and pallets can now be given a unique identification capable of being read by human eye, laser or via radio frequency. The Logopak 901TR allows self adhesive labels to be printed with human-readable data and laser-readable barcodes. In the same operation, the RFID transponder which is integrated into the label, is encoded with variable data. In just a few seconds the combined technologies of print & apply and RFID bring data on to and under the label surface. Then the label is automatically applied.
