Combining AC and CANbus technologies with advanced ergonomics, Hysters new J160-2.00XMT acX series offers a wide choice of options intended to appeal to users and drivers alike. Boasting in-built reliability and 1000 hour service intervals on most major components, the units also provide features for enhanced driver comfort. According to Hyster, the trucks lead the field in recent evaluation tests for productivity, which matched specifications to different applications. Superior performance is possible across diverse applications thanks to the choice of AC Extended Shift Life or AC Extra Performance options, both of which are supported by a wide range of wheelbase and battery configurations. A battery side-extraction also enables battery change with minimal disruption to work flow. Proportional traction control allows tight cornering without loss of power, providing manoeuvrability and smooth operation. Thanks to the fully adjustable suspension seat and tilt steering column, each driver can select their preferred driving position. The new E-Hydraulic arm rest with integral adjustment and mini-levers provides fingertip precision control. Other features that contribute to driver control and confidence include an ultra compact dished steering wheel with sunk wheel spinner, together with Demand Sense steering, an automatic safety park break, Hysters Monotrol pedal and no-pause direction changing thanks to the AC motor. Users and fleet managers can also have confidence in the acX series thanks to durability and long service intervals. The AC brushless drive motors, CANbus truck electronic communication system and low maintenance wet brakes are all employed to enhance truck reliability. On-board diagnostics facilitate early warning of any maintenance needs and swift fault detection aids fast correction. A start-up checklist and password protection are also available to help users protect their investment and monitor truck usage.
