Trucks fulfil tall order April 1st 2004 Lift truck drivers operating with tall loads will have the benefit of enhanced forward visibility thanks to the introduction of a new model from Nissan, which made its debut at IMHX.
The Hi-Rise Panoramic is a raised level, engine powered counterbalance truck available in 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0t lift capacities. Based on the companys D-Series model, it is reported to be particularly suited to tasks such as handling raw materials in large bags, vertical transfer of tall gas cylinders, and brewing and bottling operations where tall loads are palletised.
In raising the height of the operators platform by some 250mm above equivalent models, Nissan has dramatically increased the new trucks potential not only for safety, but also for productivity.
In a typical work cycle, the improved forward visibility reduces the need for the truck to travel in reverse by more than 10%. Forward visibility has been further enhanced through the introduction of a specially designed new mast where cross members have been raised to remove them completely from the operators line of sight.
Like the D-Series, the Hi-Rise features Nissans full floating system as standard, isolating the cab from the chassis and reducing vibration.
Standard engines are Nissans ultra clean, lean burn diesel or, for LPG, the Tri-Cat System, which reduces emissions by 98%. More articles from Nissan Motor (GB) Limited: |
