Conditions improved by anti-fatigue matting December 1st 2003 Royal Mail has selected COBAs Fatigue Fighter II anti-fatigue matting for its state-of-the-art Jubilee Mail Centre in Middlesex.
Approximately 700 Royal Mail employees work at the Jubilee Mail Centre and for many machine operators, their jobs entail prolonged periods of standing at mail processing machines, interspersed with regular breaks. The Main sorting hall covers 20,000m2, processing an average of 2.2 million items per day.
It is in this busy area of the building that 30 of COBAs Fatigue Fighter II mats have been installed after management looked into ways of improving conditions for operational staff using mail processing machines.
Fatigue Fighter II matting has a unique dual layered construction that provides superior comfort and wear resistance. The top surface made from PVC foam is extremely resilient and the low density bottom layer gives underfoot cushioning, reducing pressure to the back, legs and feet from prolonged standing.
Mail processing machine operators previously stood on concrete flooring and they are discovering the benefits of installing anti-fatigue matting.
Fatigue Fighter II is available in black, blue or green in a variety of widths and lengths up to 18.3m. More articles from Coba Europe Ltd: |
