Double-deck dock lifts
October 1st 2007 Transdek UK has expanded
its range of rapid-installation
double-deck dock lifts to
include units with capacity
for 24 roll-cages. The
equipment, which has an
SWL of 12t, is supplied as
self-contained pods that can
be installed and
commissioned in less than
two days.
Units are delivered on lowloader
trailers, positioned by
crane and simply bolted to
the ground and building. By
fabricating and testing the
double-deck lifts before
delivery, Transdek further
reduces installation time and
minimises disruption, while
the surface-mounted design
avoids potential
complications with local
planning authorities.
Compact design means the equipment only uses one
conventional loading bay
area and can be easily moved
and fitted elsewhere.
The Transdek double-deck
lifts, which have full weather
protection and thermal
insulation, allow fixed-deck
double-deck trailers carrying
up to 75 standard roll-cages
to be unloaded in less than
20min. As a vehicle docks, a
single-touch button
activates the dock seals and
the shutter doors.
Structures measure 9.3m
long x 4.2m wide x 6.7m
high and include heavy-duty
buffers, traffic lights,
floodlights, standard or
inflatable dock seals, and
purpose-built wheel guides
