Daily boost to health and safety October 1st 2008 Fraikin has delivered 128
Iveco Daily 35S12 chassis
cabs to Kerry Foods on a six
year contract hire
agreement. This follow
successful trials of a new
prototype chassis and
bodywork combination,
built to meet the company's
requirements.
A supplier of chilled
foods to convenience stores
nationwide, Kerry Foods
selected the Daily chassis
cab models to replace a
similar number of panel
vans in its fleet, with the
aim of boosting productivity
and health and safety.
Each of the vehicles has
wheel-boxes inside so that
the bodywork can sit low
on the chassis, maximising
ease-of-access during
loading and unloading.
Each of the Daily 35S12
chassis cabs is fitted with
Cool Freeze refrigerated
bodies and Hubbard
refrigeration equipment.
Power is provided by Iveco's
2.3 litre HPI diesel engine,
which is flexible in traffic
and suitable for longer
journeys.
The Daily has a dashboardmounted
gearshift, allowing
easy access across the cab.
This is useful for multi-drop
distribution applications as
it ensures the driver can
always exit the vehicle onto
the pavement, whichever
direction it is parked.
The contract with Fraikin
includes all servicing and
maintenance of the chassis,
bodywork and refrigeration
unit. Fraikin will also
provide MOTs, tyres and
24/7 emergency roadside
assistance. More articles from Iveco UK: |
