Meeting the growth in palletised distribution October 1st 2006 Bangor Transport company, Baynes and Son, has switched its palletised distribution network to PalletFORCE, in a move that complements the network's ongoing consolidation programme.
"Palletforce's unique shareholder ownership structure particularly impressed us," commented Baynes and Son managing director, Mike Baynes.
Palletised distribution has been a major growth area in road haulage over the last decade, offering a costeffective solution to the quick delivery of small palletised consignments.
With over 88 strategically-located depots around the country and a 210,000ft2 central hub in Lichfield Staffordshire, the PalletFORCE network offers significant efficiency savings. Each member depot delivers goods originating from its operational area to the central hub. They then collect goods for delivery to their home area for the return load.
