On-site staff work to drive down costs
December 1st 2008 Bibby Distribution has been
awarded a national contract
by Burgess Pet Care to
deliver over 35,000 pallets
per year to a mixture of
wholesale and retail outlets
throughout the UK.
The new contract is based
at Pollington near Goole but
is controlled through Bibby
personnel based on-site. The
operation is also tightly
linked into the Bibby Pallet
Network based out of
Elland, West Yorkshire.
Gary Sharp, divisional
director for both Elland and
the Pallet Network said:
"With Bibby personnel based
on site we can work closely
with Burgess staff to drive
down costs and improve
internal synergies. A close
working partnership has
already been formed
between the two parties,
and moving forward I can
see this relationship being a
