Seamless turnkey operation
February 1st 2007 Meachers Group has wrapped up a deal with PVCu bead manufacturer, Renderplas, utilising its full range of value-added supply chain services. Meachers won the contract by demonstrating its ability to offer a seamless, turnkey operation from its Derby based depot. Improving Renderplas' level of service to its customers, Meachers will be helping manage the flow of goods throughout the supply chain. This will encompass warehousing and storage prior to picking and distributing to customers throughout the UK. Meachers freight forwarding arm, Oast Agencies, will be arranging the exportation of Renderplas' goods throughout the world. According to Kevin Leedham-Green, MD: "We chose Meachers because it had the advantage of having a major facility near to our manufacturing plant and was able to provide us with a complete turnkey operation."
