Thought for food distribution December 1st 2007 Innovate Logistics is
celebrating its receipt of a
certificate of recognition
from the food industry's
leading provider of assurance
solutions. SAI Global's
European Food Safety
Inspection Service (EFSIS)
devised an all encompassing
audit that considers the
safety and legality of quality
and hygiene systems and
procedures. Innovate
impressed auditors with its
commitment to the standard
which entails 20 sections of
requirements ranging from
the fabrication of premises to
handling to traceability of
key components. Each of
Innovate's storage centres
and vehicles is fully
compliant. "Innovate is a
forerunner when it comes to
the storage and distribution
standard," says Carole Payne,
SAI Global/EFSIS Food
Director. "The company has
worked hard to maintain the
highest standards in food
storage and distribution in
all areas of its business."
"It is our aim to provide
flexible, innovative, valuecreating
supply chain
solutions that allow our
customers to see us as a
natural extension of their
own organisational family,"
says Pete Osborne,
managing director at
Innovate Logistics.
"This certification has
given us an opportunity to
demonstrate that we work
to a recognised standard
audited independently by
SAI Global/EFSIS." More articles from Stobart Chilled: |
