Hayes distribution centre wins award

Hayes Logistics has won the European Logistics award from Philips Consumer Electronics, Supplier of the Year 2003, for its purpose built distribution centre, located alongside junction 5 of the M6. The 18m building is one of three new sites in Europe, built as part of Philips extensive exercise to streamline its distribution process. Constructed within eight months, the facility has an integrated three storey office block and 24 docking bays, all suitable for double-deck trailers. It is reported to have significantly improved the efficiency and management of Philips distribution process.
