Faster, easier labelling

Weber Marking Systems has devised a bespoke labelling solution for the faster and easier production and application of labels to timber bales and pallets for timber processor Glennon Bros.

The system comprises the company's new FasTagger applicator together with its Legi label creation software and Weber polytags and ribbons. Every individual timber product includes an EAN 13 barcode.

Previously, Glennon Bros was using pre-printed labels and a hand stapler to affix the labels which was slow and inefficient.

The FasTagger uses compressed air to apply labels at a rate of over 100per minute. An operator simply places the hand tool against the end of a piece of timber and pulls its trigger.

It then automatically staples a label to the wood, cuts it, and instantly feeds the next label into position.
