Real time location and status October 1st 2006 Newly launched CERT drinks network, part of the CERT group, has implemented a new state of the art vehicle satellite tracking system across its entire fleet.
The new Global Positioning System (GPS), provided by specialists Navman, provides real time vehicle location and status information across the CERT drinks network entire fleet.
The system also provides invaluable analytical information on delivery routes, journey times and delivery point turnaround times, allowing enhanced customer service.
Richard Caine, business unit director of CERT said: "In our industry it is essential to have a transport management tool that not only offers the highest level of vehicle and load security, but also provides our operational teams with live information on our fleet location. This allows them to provide an even higher level of customer service in terms of speed of response and proactive delivery management.
"Our own fleet operation has expanded significantly over the last year, and we regard having a modern, secure and satellite tracked delivery fleet as the minimum operating standard required. This will now become standard equipment in all vehicles we operate within the CERT drinks network." More articles from CERT Group: |
