Automation now viable for smaller operations February 1st 2008 Univeyor has developed a
sorter which makes it
profitable for many
companies to automate
their manual pick storage
facilities.
If your company has a
sorting need of up to 3000
items per hour, UniSorter is
an efficient and favourably
priced solution. Previously,
the sorting need had to be
considerably higher before
investing in a sorter was a
financially viable solution.
The product is specially
designed to handle both
large and small sorting
tasks. UniSorter can sort
almost all types of items, as
long as they are equipped
with a barcode, weigh up to
35kg and have a square
measure of up to
600x600mm.
With UniSorter, many
more companies can now
go from order picking to
batch picking – fetching the
various products from the
warehouse in one go and
letting the sorter sort them
for the individual orders.
UniSorter's flexible
modular structure makes it
possible to tailor the sorting
system precisely to your
company's needs. The
system can be expanded at
any time, adding more
sorting points or a new
string.
Batch picking has many
advantages over order
picking. Rationalisation
benefits of several hundred
per cent are not unusual,
the number of employees
can often be reduced, the
risk of errors is significantly
reduced, and it is easier to
establish an ergonomically
correct workplace. More articles from Univeyor A/S: |
