First class parcel sortation
August 1st 2007

FKI Logistex has been awarded a contract by Bovis Lend Lease to design, manufacture and install a parcel sortation system for the Ministry of Defence.

The development, known as MOD Estate London Project (MoDEL) includes a new British Forces Post Office (BFPO) facility. The sortation unit will use the latest Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to ensure fast and accurate address identification.

S-3000CB Cross-Belt Sorter technology will ensure gentle handling across the wide variety of weights, sizes and shapes of packages and parcels handled by the BFPO.

In addition to OCR, the FKI system will feature state-of-the-art computer configuration and user-friendly operator interfaces and diagnostics.
