On time and within budget

in completing projects on
time and within budget,
sbh.uk has recently
completed fit-outs for
electronic goods retailer
Maplin and supply chain
solutions provider, Prolog.
At Maplin's new 15 785m2
Rotherham warehouse, the
task was complex, involving
mechanical and electrical
work, sprinklers in the main
warehouse and offices,
racking, conveyors and a
mezzanine. However, work
was completed to a tight 10-
week deadline and within
the £2m budget.
As project manager and
construction, design and
management co-ordinator,
sbh.uk was responsible for
ensuring that all designers,
contractors, suppliers and
Maplin staff complied with
the CDM legislation,
including ensuring that the
health and safety plan was
implemented, carrying out
risk assessments and
monitoring the performance
of all parties on site.
Work for Prolog involved demolishing a former Kodak
building and fitting out a
10 370m2, 12m high
warehouse in Nottingham.
This was complete a month
ahead of the 33-week
