Specialist in supply chain software solutions, TXT e-solutions, and cooker hood producer, the Elica Group, have made an agreement whereby TXT will provide its solutions to Elica to support development of the its entire supply chain. The agreement covers implementation of an organisational model assigning responsibility to a centralised function for planning the Elica Group's entire supply chain which today consists of its own four factories and a network of contract producers and suppliers. The business processes covered by the TXT suite's modules range from demand forecasting to planning and scheduling of short, medium and long-term production and procurement. The suite covers factories, contract producers and suppliers and comprises Internet-based collaboration functions. This solution includes the following modules of the TXT suite: Demand Planning, Production & Procurement Planning, Operations Planning & Scheduling, and Web Supplier Management. The agreement envisages use of the range of products in the TXT SC&CM suite for Discrete Manufacturing, one of the TXT product vertical developments intended to meet the sector's specific logistics, manufacturing and distribution needs.
