European designers and manufacturers of TCPs (temperature controlled packaging) Laminar, has spent two years researching and developing its range of insulated shippers for temperature sensitive products in response to increasing customer interest in the range.

This interest has been stimulated by economic and environmental considerations as well as by the rising standards required of transit packaging for temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products.

Designed for local or national distribution, the MediPorter range can be used cross-border provided that an RTB facility exists.

MediPorter units can be easily sanitised after use.

They are designed to stack in such a way that the bottom container can sustain a load up to 500kg.

All the units have tamper proof features and pallets and dollies are available to facilitate easy and safe movement and storage.

One of the major features of the range is the use of Laminar's Vactherm Insulation Panels, which consist of an environmentally friendly filler material encapsulated in a barrier film evacuated to between 0.0013 to 1.3mb and sealed.

A whole wedge of expanded polystyrene would be needed to achieve the same insulation values, thus reducing payload and raising operational costs.
