Additional space created February 1st 2004 Jersey-based builders and plumbers merchant, B. G. Romeril & Co, has turned to Locators Storage Systems for a two-tier mezzanine floor and racking system for its new trade shop. Installing the mezzanine floors has created an additional 14,100ft2 of space to produce a 18,800ft2 state-of-the-art trade centre alongside the warehouse.
Nick Robinson, director of Locators, worked with Romeril for over 12 months to ascertain the types and quantities of stock that would be sold in the new facility. From this information, Locators produced a detailed design for the mezzanine floors and storage system. The design was complicated by the issue of column loadings on the building slab, which is built on reclaimed land.
Once the mezzanine structure was installed Locators fitted the edges of the floors with Troax Mezzguard, and installed freestanding mesh to create secure areas. It supplied boltless steel shelving with bin fronts and dividers in a bright galvatite finish to form bin locations. More articles from Locators Ltd: |
