Compact wrapper April 1st 2005 Orion Packaging Systems has launched the SIRO-WRAP semi-automatic stretch wrapper which it bills as a compact and cost effective wrapping solution for when space is at a premium.
It combines an electrical motorised piston without a column with a chain driven turntable, which facilitates easy forklift access and smoothness of operation.
According to the company, the control panel assists fast and easy use, with manual and automatic options. A ‘photo-eye’ provides palletheight sensing with an exclusion for irregular and dark loads, in which case a manual height setting can be used.
Wrapping programs provide ‘ascent and descent’ or ‘ascent only’ options. Top and bottom layers are also adjustable, as is the mechanical clutchoperated film tensioning system, where a fixed carriage speed allows a 20% film overlap.
According to Orion director, Ann Williams, the SIRO-WRAP “takes some beating for safety”. More articles from Orion Packaging Systems Ltd - Insolvent: |
