Robotic palletising

Robotic Represented in the UK by Aetna, Euroimpianti's Skilled Robot 504 is being used by a Turkish producer of starch and its derivatives to palletise both 25kg and 50kg paper sacks.

The Robot is equipped with a mechanical bottom support finger tool specially designed for the sacks, and the gripper is said to handle the sacks accurately and gently.

A device on the arm acts as an indicator to measure the level of deposit as sacks and pallets have variable tolerances, which the Robot will compensate automatically through its software/control system.

This gripper is designed to also pick up the pallets and the slip-sheets. The palletising system has been integrated with a rotary turntable Robopac stretch wrapper and top film device to provide complete protection of the load against humidity and dust.
