MFI opts for live storage solution
December 1st 2003

A G Flow live storage system from FKI Conveyors has been installed at MFIs assembly and distribution site in Tamworth to maximise storage capacity. The project included gravity live storage conveyor lanes in the pallet racking for storing and picking rigid carcass units of varying dimensions, stored on slave boards, in 6m deep lanes. G flow Systems specified 60mm dia BZP finished rollers, each 1872mm long, assembled at 156mm pitch spacing. The full width roller track was designed to suit the pallet racking, with 24 lanes, eight single bays and three pallet loads high.
