Cost effective, self-contained liquid holding December 1st 2003 Fluids handling specialist, Niplast, has introduced a bunded bulk storage tank, SafeBulk, for the safe, self-contained holding of chemicals and other liquids.
The design meets HSE guidance on the bunding of chemical storage vessels to prevent problems associated with spillage, leaks and overfill, without the expense associated with civil works. It also offers a cost-effective alternative to drums, carboys and IBCs, as well as removing the need for manual handling of liquid containers.
Offered in capacities up to 50,000 litres plus, SafeBulk comprises a thermoplastic storage vessel, a dedicated containment bund, weather covers to prevent water ingress, an integral fill line for tanker discharge, and associated valves and fittings. The cup and saucer-style tank and bunding can be made from polypropylene or high density polyethylene to ensure compatibility with virtually any liquid commodity chemical.
Fully self-contained, with an optional leak alarm and telemetry for remote monitoring, SafeBulk can be readily bolted to a flat, prepared surface, yet is light enough to be relocated if required. More articles from Virginia Trading Co. Ltd.: |
