Door helps freeze costs April 1st 2009 Ro-Dor says its range of
doors can save cold store
firms money.
In a chill store, once a
target temperature has been
achieved, maintaining that
working level within a few
degrees can be one of the
most volatile costs incurred.
Subsequently savings can be
considerable over a short
period of time.
Having developed and sold
the double-skinned Ro-Dor
PVCu lath for a number of
years (which, alongside
stringent safety controls has
both thermal properties a
food safe credentials under
even the most rigorous
cleaning regimes), the firm
has now developed a door
for freezer applications: the
Ro-Dor Cold – a secondary
freezer door.
The Ro-Dor Cold has been
designed to operate as a
rapid action door, however
this curtain has a folding
action rather than a roller.
"This means that we have
been able to use a thermally
effective, insulated curtain,
which has been able to
utilise the best of the rapid
door technology, with the
effectiveness of a thermally
efficient door and without
the problems experienced
with some other door
systems," says sales manager,
Nigel Morton.
Although it will not replace
traditional freezer doors, Ro-
Dor says it will act as an
effective barrier to
temperature loss throughout
the working day. More articles from Ro-Dor Ltd: |
