Drive-in racking to maximise distribution

Following the installation of Link 51 pallet racking at the TNT Fashion Group distribution centre in Leicestershire, the organisation is now also benefiting from a new dedicated drive-in racking system at the site. As with the initial work, this has been undertaken under the project management of AGF and is designed to maximise distribution capability. A total of 94 lanes of Link 51 XL drive-in racking is now operational, each providing sufficient depth for three pallets at seven levels. The 135m run divided at two thirds of its length by a forklift access aisle runs the entire depth of the building to give just under 2000 pallet positions. It provides a holding area for incoming products that still require Customs clearance on arrival in the bonded warehouse. The racking has uses a one piece upright recently introduced by Link 51 for enhanced speed and efficiency of installation.
