Improved picking speed and accuracy

Megamat has installed four vertical carousels into Optidents IDC in Ilkley, which is responsible for sending out around 5000 parcels of dental equipment each month. By eliminating the physically demanding and time consuming task of picking from shelving, the carousels have improved the speed and accuracy of picking, as well as tightening up stock control and freeing extra space. The carousels have 21 shelves four metres wide and 600mm deep. Each shelf has the capacity to hold 32 small or 16 larger trays, or any combination depending on the size of product.
