Davicon and Teccon join forces December 1st 2006 One of the UK's leading retail brands recently decided to refurbish its warehouse and, after assessing the options,, decided on the UK manufacturer of mezzanine floors, Davicon and its newly appointed Partner Teccon. Peter Harris, at Davicon explains: "We have worked closely with Teccon for 12 years and recently appointed them as a Partner within our new Partnership Programme. Working closely together we hope to be able to speed up the picking and packing process within the leading retailers distribution centre." Based in Milton Keynes, the warehouse is currently being used as a base for multiple incline conveyors, however once the weeklong job is complete, the new mezzanine floor space will house static racking which will aid significantly light duty hand picking operations. Jim Ward, Teccon's senior account manager says: "Having worked with Davicon on numerous projects, we knew the company always designs, builds and installs high quality bespoke mezzanine flooring, so they were our first port of call when we were awarded the retail contract." He continues: "Our remit for the job is to restore the floor to a high quality,,, repairing the many apertures that have been created since the installation of conveyors, remove a staircase to the rear and extend the existing floor in order to hold the new static racking."
