Mezzanines enable space optimisation February 1st 2007 Hi-Store has been chosen to work with leading interior design and refurbishment specialists Morgan Lovell on a project to expand the European Headquarters of Harley-Davidson Europe in Oxford. The prestigious motor cycle specialist wanted to optimise space at the Oxford site in order provide more spacious working conditions and improve ease of movement of stocks of elite motor cycles, and thus a more efficient operation. The solution for space optimisation was provided by Hi-Store. The company's highly experienced team designed two separate 4m high mezzanine floors to flank either side of an area to the rear of the existing building totalling 446m2. These two floors enabled Harley-Davidson Europe fully to utilise available space at the Oxford site. The photo shows one of the mezzanines surrounded by partitioning during the final stages of site development. The design team at Hi- Store is able to supply solutions that are tailored to customers' individual requirements. In an example of this, the column casings supporting the new mezzanines were finished in Harley-Davidson's corporate colours, so that all visible features of the flooring complemented the existing surroundings of this prime office development.
