Faster and easier strapping and wrapping
August 1st 2007

The Burnley plant of Remploy Packaging has installed strapping and stretch wrapping equipment from Mosca Direct.

Remploy purchased three Mosca stand-alone ROMP strapping machines. The high-speed, automatic ROMP is suitable for userfriendly strapping, and features Mosca's brushless motors, direct drive technology, which minimises the number of moving parts for long-term reliability and performance.

In addition, the company decided to enhance the endof- line operation by installing a semi-automatic stretchwrapper. "Previously we had been doing our wrapping by hand, but the Mosca stretchwrapper is faster and more userfriendly," says production controller, Mark Cobham.
