Good retriever September 1st 2010 Sala International, a leading record
management and document archive
company is taking full advantage of a
pallet racking system installed by
Link 51, at its new 92,000 sq.ft.
facility in North Yorkshire.
One of the key considerations of
the layout and design at the new site
was to enhance the organisation's
growing file management capability.
"Each of the aisles at the site
provides up to 12 beam levels,"
explains Link 51's Keith Evans, "and,
although based on a conventional
back-to-back configuration, each run
also features a central tunnel. This
approach allows two-sided
pedestrian access to the boxes stored
at the lower levels – those most likely
to be retrieved regularly – thereby
enabling the maximum amount of
storage space within the warehouse
to be realised." More articles from Link 51 (Storage Solutions) Ltd: |
