New easy to install shelving
February 1st 2007 Industrial storage specialist, Troax UK, has developed a new warehouse shelving system incorporating an innovative design feature that makes it exceptionally easy for staff to load and unload. Quick to install, the new shelving offers a simple, cost-effective handling solution and is designed to improve productivity in warehouses and distribution centres. The new wire mesh shelving incorporates an integral mid-span back-stop, formed out of the mesh panel itself, to divide the shelf in the centre. The neat, triangular back-stop allows warehouse staff to easily slide boxes and cartons onto the shelving from both sides of the racking, preventing the boxes from being pushed too far. Because the back-stop is formed out of the mesh itself, it is more cost effective to produce than conventional shelves which are usually supplied with a separate back-stop. This stream-lined design also means the shelf is lighter and easier to handle, again making it quicker and therefore less costly to install.
