Pushback racking for luxury items August 1st 2008 L'Oréal's new 10,000m2
Luxury Products Division
(LPD) distribution centre in
Sherwood Park, Nottingham
has been fitted with a
storage solution of both
pushback racking and carton
live shelving from LINPAC
Storage Systems. "We were
looking for the storage
density of drive-in combined
with the flexibility and speed
of pushback, operating at
one load face," says James
Warren, warehouse flows
manager.
"The pushback racking
provides excellent storage
density for our point of sale
products and gifts with
purchases. These items tend
to be delivered in one big hit
– up to 200 pallets and sent
out again in the same way."
Pallets are stored up to four
levels high, accommodating
a depth of up to five pallet
loads in each lane. More articles from LINPAC Storage Systems Limited: |
