Racking to furnish worktops December 1st 2008 A major cantilever racking
installation providing 4500
linear metres of storage has
been completed by Pro-Dek
Storage Systems for
manufacturer of kitchen,
bedroom and bathroom
furniture, Symphony Group.
The racking has been
designed specifically to store
a large range of worktop
blanks and is located beside
a machining area where they
are cut and finished.
Racking columns are
10,500mm high and have
nine or ten arm levels per
side, depending on their
position within the factory.
Column spacings have been
designed to accommodate
three and four metre worktops,
and arms are generally
1325mm long in order to
store a variety of board
depths.
Protective rubber pads on
the columns between arm
levels and radius-profiled
arm ends minimise damage
to boards during handling
by fork trucks. More articles from Pro-Dek Storage Systems: |
