June 1st 2010 Complementing its existing racking
and pallet storage systems, Flowtech
invested 13 Kardex Shuttle XP
systems, an investment that paid off
in terms of improved picking times,
release of floor space and
optimisation of storage.
Medium to slow-moving, small to
medium-sized parts are stored in the
Shuttle units, which, in total store
over 40,000 products in a space of
250m2. This compares very
favourably with the legacy approach,
which would have required 450m2 to
store the 7,000 products that would
make up a typical year's catalogue
additions.
Flowtech, a leading fluid power
component stockist, releases a new
catalogue every year containing an
additional 5,000 to 10,000
