Mobile and static shelving October 1st 2004 When the Archive Department of Associated Newspapers relocated to a building near London Bridge, contents to be re-housed included photo archives, wallets in fourdrawer filing cabinets, card index cabinets and bays of shelving.
Rackline UK recommended both mobile and static shelving to overcome problems of circular support pillars, a low height ceiling and walls that were not at 90° to one another. Multitrak mobile shelving was installed. This comprised 345 bays giving 2064 linear metres. It is designed for carriages up to 15m long and with loads to 20t per carriage.
Profile static shelving was also installed on some parts of the walls. More articles from Rackline Ltd: |
