Relocation the quick way February 1st 2008 Quickway Buildings
recently dismantled
and put into storage a
fully insulated stores
building with a floor
area of 520m2 in just
five days.
Belonging to South
Eastern Trains, the building –
which was purchased in
February 2006 and intended
to be a permanent structure
– needed to be removed
due to restructuring at the
owner's Ramsgate site. It is
now being stored at
Quickway's facility in
Sandwich.
South Eastern Trains
intends the building to be reerected
in the Croydon area
in the future. The relocation
will not require the renewal
of any major parts, so the
costs incurred will be almost
solely for plant and labour.
This case highlights the
versatility of the Quickway
Building System, which offers
quality steel buildings that
are relocatable, easily
extended due to modular
design, and as permanent as
the user requires. More articles from Wingham Engineering Co Ltd: |
