Chipboard used for mezzanine flooring December 1st 2004 HDX chipboard from Egger (UK) has been specified for the flooring of a mezzanine at Matalan’s new Corby distribution centre.
More than 13,000m2 of HDX P6/Class 0 foil reverse 38mm fire protected chipboard has been installed by logistics system integrator SDI Greenstone. It provides tiered flooring for the centre’s two semi-automated picking towers where boxed goods and hanging garments are stored.
Boards were pre-cut into 2ft2 panels and surface coated with a clear acrylic lacquer for additional durability and to prevent dust damage to clothing stock before being delivered to the Corby site.
The chipboard has a doublechamfered tongue and groove profile for ease of installation and, once installed, it will withstand long term pallet racking loading of up to 0.5t/m2. More articles from Egger (UK) Ltd: |
