Goods lift in time for Christmas December 1st 2004 The need to transfer palletised goods or rollcages safely between floors in a retail environment is common to many high street properties and out of town stores with a mezzanine level. Saxon Lifts has developed a range of goods lift solutions to solve this problem, one of which is being used at PC World’s flagship store in London.
Working with the architects and main contractor, Kier, Saxon Lifts designed and installed a hydraulic scissor lift and full lift enclosure to take goods between two levels, three metres apart.
The lift platform, measuring 2500 x 1600mm, can carry 2000kg at a travel speed of 100mm per second. A full set of goods lift controls were supplied, with double interlocked lift doors at each level. More articles from Saxon Lifts Limited: |
