New high lift pallet truck is sturdy and safe
December 1st 2004

Still Materials Handling has developed a new hand-guided high lift pallet truck. Designed to provide a highly functional, easy to operate unit with modern aesthetics, the new EGV is available with capacities from 1.0 t to 1.6 t.

The lighter versions, EGV 10 and EGV 12 (with 1.0t and 1.2t capacities respectively) are designed for areas with a low to medium turnaround of pallets, and the heavier versions, EGV 14 and EGV 16 (1.4t and 1.6t capacities) for higher volume applications.

The new range is said to be easier to operate and more manoeuvrable than its predecessor, even in the tightest spaces. It also has a higher residual capacity and improved pallet movements per battery charge to ensure maximum productivity.

Of sturdy structure, in shocksensitive areas 8 to 10 mm thick steel plates have been used. The battery cover is made of highstrength bumper material for greater impact protection yet also offers better accessibility, facilitating maintenance and repair.

Precise driving response gives fine control, with the controller operating from very fast to inch-byinch driving speeds as desired. Hoist and lower speeds are precisely regulated by varying pressure on the button.

The EGV’s tiller offers safety and comfort. A specially shaped impact plate is built into the head – when this touches the operator it will immediately set the truck moving in the opposite direction and automatically bring it to a stop, preventing the operator from being trapped.
