Ergonomic triple decker October 1st 2007 By accommodating parts
delivered ready for the line
in pallet boxes or euro
containers a new tripledeck
order picking system
from BITO Storage
Systems can reduce
double
handling in
automotive
assembly
and many
other applications.
Pull-out pallet extraction
units on the bottom level of
the system allow users to
pull individual pallets into
the aisle for convenient
picking of goods from three
sides of the pallet box.
Above the pull-out
pallets, the middle level is formed from inclined pallet
positions offering even
greater ergonomic parts
picking. Here the
pallet box sits
on sloping
cantilever
arms to
present an
inclined pallet
at waist height for
the picker. The
inclined level can be set in
four positions from 10 to
25°. Buffer storage is
located on the system's top
level where pallet boxes are
held in a standard bay
ready to replenish the
picking levels. More articles from BITO Storage Systems Ltd: |
