February 1st 2008 Flowstore Systems has
been appointed to supply
equipment for Toyota's new
European Global Production
Centre (E-GPC) in
Derbyshire. The FlowTube
system was used; including
plastic coated steel tubes,
modular connecting joints,
roller tracks and accessories,
enabling the assembly and
construction of many types
of equipment involved in
assembly, storage and
handling applications.
In the centre, a wide variety
of assemblies were required,
from simple trolleys and
flowracks, to handgrip and
dexterity test units and
notice stands and
signboards. Flowstore
Systems prepared 3-D
drawings for Toyota, which
illustrated the proposed
units in order for
modifications, approval and
sign-off, before final
assembly commenced.
Nearly 30 different designs
were despatched, fully
assembled and finished to
