Heavy-duty compact storage

CS-Metal has installed three TowerMat vertical lift storage systems designed for heavy engineering materials and components. Marketed in the UK by Couzens Storage Solutions, the TowerMat units are used to store steel plate, pallets of finished products and press tooling.

The units have a total capacity of around 416,000kg. Items are stored on trays stacked vertically, with the selected tray automatically brought down to picking level.

8.9m high and occupying a total area of 240m2, they take up less space than conventional storage methods such as pallet racking or block stacking.
