Leadtime wins Linpac contract
October 1st 2008 When Preston-based H
Parkinson Haulage won a
new customer on a two year
deal, pallet racking capacity
was need quickly. Linpac
Storage Systems was
chosen for the contract
because of the competitive
price offered and the ability
to provide a four week
turnaround from the order
being placed to positioning
pallets in the racking. This
was in contrast with other
companies that had
leadtimes of 6-7 weeks.
Linpac has installed a
total of 2224 pallet positions
in part of the 163,000ft2
warehouse which is
adjacent to the bulk store.
There are two routes into
the racking, one near the
entrance to the building and
a second transfer aisle,
which lines up with the way
into the bulk storage area.
These maximise the speed of
