Room for archive storage August 1st 2008 Faced with the conundrum
of how to accommodate
272 storage rooms within
an area of just 550m2 for
Cornwall-based storage
company, Allstore, the
Spaceway Group produced
StackiTall to maximise
storage space for archive
boxes and self-storage.
David Stephenson, MD,
comments "We wanted to
'reinvent the wheel' by
mixing archive and selfstorage
in a single design so
that a company or individual
could add units as required.
Existing systems wasted
space as units have to be
pushed back horizontally
before a person can gain
entry."
StackiTall uses a special
system that enables units to
be pulled forward and back
rather than left to right. This
allows easy access to boxes
and enables additional units
to be installed, as space is
no longer needed for units
to be pushed along to make
way for access.
StackiTall has enabled
Allstore to achieve 272 bays
to store 17,260 archive
boxes. designed in
collaboration with Compact
storage, it uses a welded
chassis for durability. More articles from The Spaceway Group: |
