The big freeze
August 1st 2007 A racking system from
STORAX is helping frozen
food producer, CP Retailing
and Marketing (CP-RAM)
reduce refrigeration costs
and environmental damage
in its freezer store while
keeping pace with growth.
After careful evaluation of
the options, the store which
provides capacity for storage
of 4400 pallets of frozen
foods was fitted out with
STORAX mobile racking .
Advantages of the STORAX
system include high density
of strorage, combined with
direct access to all pallet
loads.
Each 2.4 cubic metre
pallet in the cold store only
occupies 4.75 cubic metres.
Since the installation of the
STORAX racking, occupancy
levels in the store are in the
region of 90-100%, in
contrast to other types of
high density storage systems
with only indirect access to
