Man-up stacker/order picker
August 1st 2004 When cycle parts and accessories distributor, Madison, needed warehouse trucks for its Milton Keynes distribution centre it turned to Atlet for man-up order pickers and a combination pallet stacker/order picker.
The consolidation of an additional distribution operation brought the total number of lines in the warehouse to 20,000. Additional storage capacity was required and Madison decided to extend the warehouse.
The Atlet DCR Omni man-up combination pallet stacker/order picker was selected to operate in the new section of warehouse. Wire guided in narrow aisles, it can be used to handle pallets in and out of racking locations or as a conventional man-rising order picker for complete flexibility.
Rising with the forks and load, the operator has clear access to either side of the aisle, enabling picking from both faces without having to move the truck. They also have clear access to the load on the forks, which can be raised and lowered independently to maintain the pallet or cage at the most convenient height for item placement.
The forks can be rotated through 180so that pallets can be handled on either side of the aisles without turning the truck around. More articles from Atlet Limited: |
