The SL-9000 range of weighing scales from Toshiba Tec Europe is adaptable to most retail needs, from a simple stand-alone scale to a fully functioning master-satellite system. The upgraded software versions add a number of new value-added functions to the range. Addition of a cash drawer enables the SL-9000 to be used as a weighing scale and electronic cash register. With this add-on there is no need for a separate cash register, reducing the cost of ownership. An itemised receipt can be printed and automatic discounts and points-based loyalty schemes included. For retailers who want a stand-alone weighing scale, the SL-9000 can be configured as a supermarket-type customer-service labelling scale, issuing a self-adhesive label containing a barcode.
