IBCs ease transport of perishable goods August 1st 2004 Thanks to Arcas Combo plastic reusable IBC, dairy products producer, Nene Valley Foods no longer faces problems when transporting perishable goods.
Traditionally, metal bag in box containers with water-tight lining were rented for this purpose. However, as well as being susceptible to rust, the ridged design meant they were prone to sharp edges. This often resulted in puncturing of the plastic liner and leakage.
The plastic construction of Arcas Combo plastic reusable IBC means that any impact is absorbed and the contents protected. Since October, when Nene Valley Foods purchased their first Combos, the incidents of leakage have been reduced by 50%.
Being lighter than the metal alternative, the containers are also easier to load and unload. More articles from Arca Systems Limited: |
