Nest and stack February 1st 2006 SSI Schaefer delivered 3000 nest and stack designed containers, with attached lid, to Unipart Technology Logistics, UTL, in less than four weeks from initial enquiry, incorporating the exact modifications set out.
UTL, provider of logistics services for many of Europe's leading technology businesses, required 3000 plastic containers, with a 58 litre capacity, to be stored and distributed from Magna Park, Lutterworth.
Ian Cook, sales consultant for Schaefer, who received the enquiry, said: "Once our quote of 3000 KMB-DH632 containers was agreed with Unipart we knew that the time in which to deliver the modified plastic boxes was going to be a challenge but one that we succeeded in achieving."
As a tenant at Magna Park, Britain's first and Europe's largest dedicated distribution park, Unipart requested that the containers be stamped with 'UTL MAGNA' on each side. The containers were specified in green in line with the corporate colour of the end customer.
A spokesperson at Unipart said they were pleased with the speed and efficiency with which SSI Schaefer operated in delivering such a large number of modified boxes within a short space of time.
