April 1st 2006 By extending its PowerPick 5000 software to give users instant, online visual analysis of critical warehouse statistics, Kardex has made it significantly easier for users of its automated materials handling and retrieval systems to keep track of warehouse performance. The new Statistics module gives users and management up-to-the second graphical analysis of stock levels and picking performance.
The Statistics Module can be added to any existing Kardex horizontal or vertical carousel installation or to its flexible Shuttle handling and storage systems. The package adds a direct link and a user friendly graphical front end to PowerPick's live inventory, order and picking database, together with a suite of powerful data analysis tools. Capable of working with both real-time and historical data, the Statistics Module makes tracking vital performance information and spotting emerging issues as easy as glancing at a screen.
The PowerPick 5000 Statistics Module comes ready equipped to deliver the kind of information that managers need to drive critical productivity. Built-in reports allow users to optimise operator and shift performance, for example, matching staffing to order peaks.
